During my tenure as a Photography contractor for Outside Magazine, I embarked on an a journey to tell the untold story of my grandfather who played an important role in the history of the first ascent of Mount Everest in 1953. I ventured from the heights of Everest basecamp to the heart of Kathmandu city retracing the historical route they once took.
